Everyone has questions, here are some of the more frequently asked. If there is a question I haven’t listed, please get in touch and Ill be only too happy to answer it.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I have been shooting weddings now full time for just over 9 years.

What is the booking process?

Once you are happy that I am the photographer for you, we both electronically sign the contract using Adobe Echosign. Once this is done and the 50% retainer paid, we are golden! 

How many photos will we receive?

This varies allot from wedding to wedding based on the number of guests and weather etc. I do not limit the number of photos, so everything thats good enough and meets my creative standards gets edited, whether that will mean 2 days or 5 days of editing. What this means for you is that you get the very best of the day with anything between 400-700 photos. 

How much do you charge? 

Prices vary tremendously based on the coverage duration and number of photographers you require. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your individual requirements further.

Are you insured?

Absolutely, both my hardware and I are fully insured.

What happens if you are sick or get abducted by aliens? 

Firstly this has never happened (reaches to touch a large lump of wood). However if it were to happen, there are processes in place. The first being if you chose to book a second photographer then the chances of us both not being there is even more unlikely to the point of being miniscule. Secondly I am a member of several groups that have been setup specifically for this scenario. In short whether you have booked one photographer or two, your day will be photographed. 

Are our images safe?

Definitely, the cameras we use shoot the same photo to two cards simultaneously. Once the wedding is finished, the images are stored both on site and off site for total protection. 

How do we receive the photos?

You have a choice, digital download or disc. The digital download option seems to be more popular of late as its super easy for you to share this without having to burn disks or upload photos. 

Can we meet?

Yes, yes and most definitely yes. 

Do you shoot wedding further afield?

I will travel pretty much anywhere on the planet to shoot a wedding. Obviously additional costs come into play but if you are cool with that, Ill see you on the beach!

Do we need to feed you?

Contrary to many beliefs, I am not a humanoid sent back from the future, so yes I will need to eat. However that doesn’t mean you have to supply the food, that would be really great if you did but its not a deal breaker if not. 

What happens if it’s raining?

We get wet? Seriously though this is a very common question and from my point of view, it wouldn’t make one bit of difference. Our camera equipment is weather proof, so if you are up for it, I am too! I also bring the studio lighting so if we do have to shoot say some formals indoors, they will still look the bomb. 

We have formal photos we would like, is that ok? 

What would a wedding be without a formal shot or two. I recommend writing a list prior to the wedding day so that a) you don’t forget anyone and b) we are not having to continually ask you who’s next. I tend to work with the best man or maid of honour so we can discreetly get folks over for the photo rather than screaming and shouting. Seems to go down better that way 

Is it ok to meet prior to the wedding?

I always make a point of meeting couples prior to the wedding, ideally at the venue. This gives us a chance for a coffee and a natter whilst looking around and finalising ideas, like and dislikes.

What happens if you break a camera. 

Its unusual for hardware to fail nowadays but not impossible or unheard of. For that reason we have two of everything as a ‘just in case’.
